Originally briefed to develop branding around the story of William Tell's arrow through an apple, we convinced the brand team to move in a different direction towards one that capitalized on the rich heritage of the Northwest.

After extensive research on the history of Oregon and the Northwest, we developed a brand story built at the intersection of two narratives. Square Mile Cider Co. celebrates today's seekers and dreamers and the spirit and energy shared with the original Oregon pioneers.

The modern heritage brand architecture served as a touchpoint that everything was held against. Each element of the brand, from identity to promotions, needed to feel modern and also be authentically rooted in Northwest history.
Multiple marks were created to deliver a dynamic brand approach. Slight imperfections were incorporated into design elements to subtly give a handcrafted feel.
